Retail lighting that showcases fashion at its best

Fashion is defined by material, colour and fit – and by a space that makes all of these qualities visible. At the fashion store Modehaus Fischer in Singen, the existing lighting across approximately 600 square metres was replaced with modern LED lighting technology from LTS Licht & Leuchten GmbH. Around 220 recessed spotlights and some 50 shop window spotlights were tailored to the requirements of high-end fashion retail areas. The aim of the refurbishment was to maintain the proven quality of light while significantly improving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, maintenance requirements and flexibility.

Efficient lighting refurbishment during ongoing operations

The starting point for the refurbishment was a high-quality, well-established lighting system that was replaced with modern LED technology. The key objective was to preserve the characteristic quality of light on the merchandise while improving colour rendering, achieving more precise accent lighting and reducing maintenance requirements.

Since the new spotlights fitted into the existing ceiling openings, no additional drilling was required. Two electricians completed the refurbishment within three days while the store remained open – without disrupting customers.

The existing ceiling structure could be fully retained. This combines minimal structural intervention with efficient LED technology and demonstrates how cost-effective lighting refurbishment can be implemented in existing retail environments.

The energy assessment carried out by Bosch & Knöbl helped evaluate the economic benefits of the LED conversion.

LTS lighting technology for flexible retail spaces

On the sales floor, CSA recessed spotlights create a calm, high-quality ceiling appearance while providing precise illumination of the merchandise. The CSA 50 with CRI > 90 and 3,000 K combines a minimalist, architecturally integrated ceiling design with efficient LED technology and LTS’ inhouse reflector technology.

This creates differentiated lighting zones for display tables, merchandise racks, perimeter areas and vertical surfaces. Colours, fabric textures and finishes appear natural, brilliant and premium.

In the shop windows, ORYO spotlights provide flexible illumination for mannequins, decorative elements and seasonal highlights. As track-mounted spotlights, they can be precisely adjusted to suit changing merchandise displays, create depth and strengthen the first visual impression from outside the store.
