10 advantages
why organic response is particularly worthwhile in retail
Organic Response is a wireless plug-and-play system that can be easily applied to lighting control systems in various areas via app control. Organic Response works via a sensor that can be integrated into the luminaire. Organic Response makes light balanced, more sustainable, digital and intelligent. With Organic Response, each luminaire is equipped with its own sensor node and communicates with its immediate neighbors to target output to the environment. Generating the exact amount of light needed not only minimizes energy consumption, but also ensures an optimally lit environment. Thanks to wireless communication and presence detection, the devices are ready for immediate use, with no disruption to tenants. Infrared mesh communication allows for easy reuse of the space without the need for expert re-commissioning.
Our intelligent light makes your building a sustainable place. At LTS, we develop lighting solutions that have a significant impact on global energy consumption and at the same time offer much more than just a wireless lighting control system.
You can find out more about the Organic Response system, how the network works and everything to do with data in detail in our brochure.
Organic Response in Retail
The revolution for a more energy efficient shopping experience
Light is an important tool in retail to make shopping an experience for all the senses.
With Organic Response it is possible to reap all the benefits light can offer while reducing lighting energy costs by up to 80 %.
why organic response is particularly worthwhile in retail
Up to 80 % energy savings in lighting
Even if your shop is equipped with the latest LED lights, there is still great potential for energy and cost savings. Depending on the frequency and ambient brightness of the store, up to 80% of the energy for lighting can be saved additionally. Organic Response controls the lighting management and ensures that the right light is available WHEN, WHERE and AS MUCH as needed.
Lower carbon footprint by saving resources
Retail spaces are among the most energy-intensive. The cost of lighting is the highest operating expense after the cost of labour. With an intelligent, presence-based lighting control system, you can create a sustainable infrastructure that minimises energy consumption and your carbon footprint, while ensuring the optimum illumination of your retail space for a unique customer experience. Saving resources for future generations is also a statement of your brand values that will be more and more important for your customers.
Intelligently managed LEDs’ live longer
The life of an LED is determined by the level/amount of energy and the hours in function. Intelligent, presence-based dimming or switching off the light as needed will extend the service life of the LEDs.
Control your lighting installation through remote access
With the Organic Response online portal you can access usage and energy information, receive error messages and schedule maintenance from anywhere. This intelligent lighting system provides centralised control and ensures that the latest safety standards are met.
Uniform shop identity for retail chains thanks to the lighting concept
Uniform and pleasant lighting in all stores of a retail chain ensures a consistent and comfortable shopping experience everywhere. It strengthens the brand identity and promotes customer loyalty, as the customer will feel comfortable and find his way around in the same lighting concept in each of your stores.
The lighting concept controlled by Organic Response helps to improve the customer experience, which leads to an increase in sales for store operators and retail chains. In addition, operating costs are reduced by up to 70 percent.
Learning from data to improve the shopping experience
Organic Response Sensors continuously collect anonymised data that provides valuable insights. Heat maps transparently show how walking routes can be optimised for your customers and how the range of goods can be better placed. Data histories provide you with additional insights to continuously improve your energy management.
Open System for additional, innovative services for your customers
Organic Response is an open system. The wireless lighting infrastructure can be used for other applications, systems or apps, e.g. for navigation in shops and buildings, for the installation of anti-theft protection or for safe evacuation in case of emergency. Other smart building services can be offered and integrated with the support of third party experts.
Wireless system for easy installation
As a wireless, sensor-based system, existing lighting installations can also be retrofitted with Organic Response. Thanks to the plug & play system, installation is also possible during operation without any disruptions, and the costs for installation and putting into operations are minimised.
Flexibly adjustable to all needs and new requirements
The intelligent, wireless system from Organic Response is extremely flexible and can be adapted to all spatial conditions and needs. If the use of the building changes, the existing luminaires can simply be readjusted and adapted to the new needs.
Exclusive production and quick delivery
The Organic Response company is a member of the Fagerhult Group and thus a sister company to LTS Licht & Leuchten GmbH. This guarantees the availability of deep knowledge and expertise, an exclusive production for LTS and a quick delivery.
Why choose a wireless control system over a wired one?
Using a wireless system brings massive benefits to a project in terms of simplifying the installation process and reducing associated time and costs. With controls integrated into the luminaire, the amount of cabling and ‘ceiling clutter’ caused by traditional lighting control systems is minimised.
How does the system communicate?
The dual level architecture splits communications between lighting control and data harvesting. The Node to Node communication for the controls is via Organic Response Wireless infrared. Wirepas industrial grade low energy RF mesh network is used for communication via a gateway to Building Management Systems (BMS) and/or the Cloud.
How many sensor nodes can be assigned to a single gateway?
150 (max) – this limit is based on bandwidth and redundancy for general cases. The closest sensor node has to be within 5m of the gateway.
Is there any special commissioning or set-up required for the Portal?
ORG3 was developed to provide presence detection out of the box, to implement the wealth of additional features all the settings can be accessed via a smart device. Each luminaire has to be identified and linked to their position on the drawing up-loaded into the portal. This is essential for the connected system to work. Initial set-up of lighting controls functions using the App can either be by the installation contractor, inhouse FM teams or LTS engineers. Set-up of the Portal is via LTS engineers only. FM teams will receive training for use and future modifications of the system.
Where is the information hosted?
In a secure Amazon Web Services Cloud (AWSC).
How secure is my data?
All data is stored in the AWS cloud, which complies with the relevant regulations and is used in finance, healthcare, and government applications. Our database servers are completely isolated from the Internet within a ’Virtual Private Cloud’ and may only be accessed via our web servers. Any request that is made to our servers is authenticated through LinkedIn OAuth and can only be performed if the user has been given permission to make such requests on that building.
Are there permission limitations on the system?
Yes: access to the different features are complete scalable from full admin rights to read only access. Each individual component can be added or hidden from different user profiles and specific roles.
